MARINA HANDS AT THE 2026 CÉSAR AWARDS
Following the 51st César Ceremony, held at the Olympia, Germaine Guérin was honored to accompany Marina Hands, Commander of the Order of Arts and Letters and Knight of the Legion of Honour, at this major celebration of French cinema.
Invited to present a César during the evening, Marina Hands, after removing her Comédie-Française costume, appeared carrying the Tout-Paris clutch in black cotton velvet, signed Germaine Guérin.
A LEADING VOICE OF FRENCH CINEMA AND THEATRE
A defining figure of the French artistic scene, Marina Hands has distinguished herself through the power of her performances, notably crowned with the César Award for Best Actress for Lady Chatterley in 2007, as well as two Molière Awards in 2018 and 2025, honoring her commitment and artistic excellence in theatre.
By presenting an award at this 51st edition, she embodied transmission and excellence, founding values shared by Germaine Guérin.
A NATURAL ENCOUNTER BETWEEN HERITAGE AND INCARNATION
Since its establishment in 1921, Germaine Guérin has celebrated women of distinction: artists, pioneers, and bold personalities who have shaped their era. Over the decades, the Maison has accompanied ambassadors of strong character, combining independence, culture and refinement.
Marina Hands’ journey naturally aligns with the lineage of Germaine Guérin clients who have left their mark on the world of culture, such as Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Maria Callas, and Vivien Leigh. Embodying an intellectual and liberated femininity, both classic and intensely contemporary, her silhouette last night at the Olympia expressed this continuity: that of a living heritage carried by a woman of today.
THE TOUT-PARIS CLUTCH: ELEGANCE IN CHIAROSCURO
Carried by hand, the Tout-Paris clutch in black cotton velvet revealed the full subtlety of Germaine Guérin’s craftsmanship: satin-depth cotton velvet, clean lines inspired by the 1960s, the Maison’s signature Volutes motif in brass plated with 24-carat gold and entirely handcrafted in France.
Its texture captures the light without ostentation, engaging in a play of chiaroscuro with the actress’s silhouette at the crossroads of Parisian classicism and confident modernity.
A SHARED VISION OF FRENCH EXCELLENCE
By choosing Germaine Guérin for this ceremony honoring French cinema, Marina Hands illustrated a natural alliance: that of an artist recognized by her peers and a heritage Maison whose standards transcend generations.
More than an accessory, the Tout-Paris clutch becomes the symbol of a legacy passed from one woman to another, from one era to the next.
