At Germaine Guérin, excellence begins with the selection of materials. Leathers, threads, dyes, hardware: every element is chosen with the utmost care, primarily from France, Italy, or Spain. All our products are then crafted in France.
The workshop
The story of Germaine Guérin is, above all, a story rooted in French craftsmanship. Every product from the Maison has always been carefully crafted in France. At the heart of our small-scale workshop, each creation is handmade following techniques inherited from the great tradition of leatherworking. The cuts are precise, the stitching carefully executed, and the meticulous finishes bear the mark of time and artisanal expertise.
Leathers
All our leathers are full-grain, expressing the nobility of the material in its most authentic form. A guarantee of strength and durability, they come from the finest tanneries in France, Italy, and Spain and comply with current international standards. Whether goat, calf, or bull leather, smooth or grained, with natural or enhanced grain, we place the utmost importance on their selection.
Jewelry
Metal hardware, also known as jewelry, whether our clasps, chains, or our iconic volutes, are crafted and gilded with the same precise standards, extending the spirit of excellence that defines each creation. Generally made of brass, except in special cases, they are then coated with a fine layer of 24-carat gold. They are manufactured in Italy or France, depending on the specific expertise required for their production.
