The story
The Lorette bag
Worn by some of the most influential figures of the 1960s, from Maria Callas to the Maharani of Baroda and Claude Pompidou, this model holds a central place in the archives of Germaine Guérin.
Its name, Lorette, is a nod to Paris’s 9th arrondissement where Germaine Guérin grew up, but also to a generation of bold and independent women, known as cocottes or demi-mondaines, who made headlines in Second Empire Paris.

Leather moment
Goatskin leather
The quality of leather lies in its grain, which is why we only use full-grain leather.
Our goatskin stands out with its beautifully textured grain and a subtle sheen that highlights the natural characteristics of the goatskin. Its firm and substantial feel, along with a slightly dry and textured touch, makes it easy to care for. Over time, it softens and develops a satin finish, gaining in smoothness and radiance.

Germaine Guérin Wrapping
Since the 1960s, our boxes have drawn inspiration from the iconic colours of the Paris Métropolitain and its famous entrances designed by Hector Guimard: the muted green of sculpted cast iron and the pale yellow known as the “cornichon” (gherkin).
Whether for yourself or as a gift for a loved one, the experience is always the same: every detail is carefully crafted, every moment a delight.
